This report provides findings from the third year of the Gambling Survey for Great Britain. The survey gathers data on who participates in gambling, what type of gambling activities they participate in, experiences of and reasons for gambling, and the consequences that gambling can have on people who gamble and people close to them. Data was collected from 20,775 adults in Great Britain between January 2025 and January 2026.
Key findings include:
- 2.4% of people experienced problem gambling (had a Problem Gambling Severity Index score of 8 or more), while 3.5% were at moderate risk of problem gambling (score of 3 to 7), and 7.8% were at lower risk of problem gambling (score of 1 to 2).
- 3.4% of people who had gambled in the past 12 months had sought support for their gambling.
- Of people who reported that someone close to them gambled, 3.3% had sought some form of support.
