This report contains results from a survey of alcohol, tobacco, and gambling using during the COVID-19 Level 4 lockdown in New Zealand. Key results showed that respondents gambled less, or the same amount as before lockdown. There was an increase in online gambling and first-time users of online gambling. Respondents also reported gambling less online due to financial reasons. This survey was followed-up by a post-lockdown survey.

The survey was conducted by Nielsen, an independent research company.
