Gambling Research Exchange Ontario (GREO) transforms knowledge into impactful action as an independent knowledge translation and exchange (KTE) organization that aims to eliminate harm from gambling. We work closely with many interested parties to provide the best possible evidence to inform decisions about responsible gambling policies, standards and practices. The work we do is geared towards researchers, policy makers, gambling regulators and operators, and treatment and prevention service providers. Knowledge translation and exchange involves using many different approaches to maximize GREO's impact on the field. Here are some ways GREO makes an impact.
Driving Knowledge to Action: Our Knowledge Hubs reach out into communities and community-based projects to provide evidence-based solutions to gambling related harm.
Answering Important Questions: Have a question? Ask us, we'll do our best. Our State of Evidence Reviews summarize key topics and provide responses to many of the pressing questions we have been asked.
Creating New Approaches to Complex Problems: The Conceptual Framework on Harmful Gambling demonstrates the complexity and interrelation of gambling issues and can form a basis for better understanding of gambling related harm and prevention of that harm.
Igniting Collaboration across the Gambling Landscape: We bring together key individuals to discuss problems and solutions for gambling related harm and to move our understanding of gambling forward.
Building a Vibrant Knowledge Creation Community: Knowledge Hubs and student workshops develop capacity to bring together the world-class research and knowledge translation.
