GREO is committed to using the best available evidence to prevent and reduce gambling harm.
Our $15k funding program provides grants to community organizations that focus on reducing harm from gambling. You can view our Theory of Change to learn more about the goals and objectives for the overall program.
These grants could be used to:
April 18th, 2017 - Open solicitation
May 9th, 2017 - Deadline to register an Intent to Apply by 5:00 pm (details below)
GREO will arrange a follow-up call to discuss your project, the application process, and expected deliverables.
May 31st. 2017- Application submission deadline by 5:00pm (see application guidelines below)
June 16th, 2017 - Funding notifications
June 30th, 2017 - Project start date
Many of the same risk factors that increase a person's likelihood of becoming a problem gambler, or experiencing gambling related harms, also cause problems in other areas of their life. GREO has developed a gambling harms mind map, which demonstrates how gambling harms can be associated with a number of important mental health, addiction, and socio-economic factors.
