Journal: Journal of Gambling Studies

Year Published: 2021

Date Added: June 11, 2021

The rates of problem gambling are higher in the indigenous populations of Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. However, few indigenous people seek treatment for gambling problems. The aim of this review was to identify themes underlying effective interventions for gambling in indigenous populations. The authors identified seven themes. The need to involve indigenous people in all aspects of interventions was highlighted throughout the review.
