Many people play video games, but it can become a problematic or even addictive behaviour for some people. The aim of this research was to identify meaningful groups based on personality traits, addictive behaviours (e.g., substance use, gaming, and gambling), and coping strategies. The authors recruited participants from Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. Participants filled out several online questionnaires. The responses to these questionnaires were used to classify participants into different groups. For each country, there were two profiles where higher scores for dysfunctional coping and addictive behaviours were identified. There were also differences between the profiles within each country, as well as between countries.
