Graduate Student Evaluation Internship

Greo is seeking a motivated graduate student to contribute to our Evaluation Team. The ideal candidate will be familiar with program evaluation and have strong research synthesis and communication skills. Graduate students can be in programs such as public health, health sciences, health evaluation, knowledge integration, leisure studies, etc.

This remote, part-time, paid internship will begin in the new year, span four months (January - April 2023), and be for approximately 20-25 hours per week. There is some flexibility in how these hours are distributed throughout the week.

Reporting to the Evaluation Specialist, you will support the Evaluation Team by:

  • Collecting and synthesizing relevant evidence to support the development of a range of practical knowledge products (e.g., evidence briefs, visuals, webinars)
  • Contributing to evaluation-related projects, including the development of theories of change and evaluation capacity building initiatives by performing literature reviews, needs assessments, and analyzing survey data
  • Supporting knowledge mobilization and the development of strategic frameworks for public health approaches to complex social issues related to health and wellbeing
  • Compiling content for case studies to convey the real-world impact evaluative thinking can have on improving health promotion programs and strategies

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program with a focus on any of the following: public health, health sciences, health evaluation, knowledge integration, leisure studies or similar
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in the following areas: program evaluation, research, knowledge translation and synthesis, and writing for a variety of audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work as member of a team but also able to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail

What We Are Looking for in Board Members

  • Experience in accounting, finance, business and/or government and/or international relations
  • Strong belief in the value of knowledge mobilization as it relates to health and well-being
  • Knowledge of:
  • regulated areas such as betting and gambling, cannabis, and/or financial sectors
  • areas such as gaming, esports, cryptocurrency, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence
  • health-related areas such as wellbeing, mental health, public health, and/or determinants of health
  • Willingness to prepare for and attend approximately five Board meetings per year and participate in at least one committee
  • Greo is based in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Meetings are typically virtual
