We are seeking a highly motivated Graphic Designer to join our team. This is a full-time, 12-month contract position with the possibility of becoming permanent. Greo offers a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package, and a collegial, flexible work environment. The entire Greo team works remotely and meets in person periodically throughout the year and the successful candidate must reside in Canada.


The Graphic Designer will work across Greo service streams and in support of operations to deliver branded assets for several channels including documents (i.e., reports, evidence briefs, etc.), social media and e-communications, templates, presentations, and custom-designed collateral to support organizational and project initiatives for Greo.


This position requires proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, competency in MS Office suite, and familiarity with email marketing and social media platforms. You would report directly to the Chief Strategy Officer, and work in close collaboration with our Knowledge Broker responsible for communications, business leads responsible for project outputs, and our external design agency, as needed to evolve our brand. The primary responsibilities of this role include:


  • Ensuring the delivery of consistent, high-quality collateral, including team adherence to the organizational brand strategy
  • Providing subject-matter expertise related to design and branding to all staff
  • Designing and managing the production of Greo products. This involves template-based and custom-designed materials including:
    • project-based assets (primarily digital documents, reports, etc.)
    • business-related assets (e.g., letterhead, governance materials, etc.)
    • digital assets including website updates, email communication / newsletter templates, and visuals for social media posts
    • communication assets such as process flows, charts, tables, figures, infographics, and diagrams
  • Overseeing visual updates to the Greo website, as well as project or program-related website hubs
  • Supporting the visual planning and execution of email and digital communication initiatives
  • Managing a library of visual assets, logos, fonts and other brand standards and guidelines as well as occasional sourcing of stock photography




Desired Skills and Experience


  • Completion of post-secondary certification in graphic design
  • 1-3 years of related graphic design experience
  • Understanding of design theory and typography
  • Demonstrated experience in creating strong visual communications both in print and digital applications with a keen eye for design and attention to detail
  • Strong competency in Adobe Creative Suite applications, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Strong competency using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, including building, and managing templates; experience with Microsoft Teams considered an asset
  • Experience using email marketing platforms (e.g., MailChimp) and working knowledge of HTML would be considered an asset
  • Experience preparing visual assets for social media channels including LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Experience with tools such as Canva and Planoly would be considered an asset
  • Experience with web-based content management systems (e.g., Wordpress)
  • Experience working in a community or non-profit organization would be considered an asset
  • Experience working in a multi-project environment
  • Excellent time management skills and demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects and adhering to deadlines

What We Are Looking for in Board Members

  • Experience in accounting, finance, business and/or government and/or international relations
  • Strong belief in the value of knowledge mobilization as it relates to health and well-being
  • Knowledge of:
  • regulated areas such as betting and gambling, cannabis, and/or financial sectors
  • areas such as gaming, esports, cryptocurrency, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence
  • health-related areas such as wellbeing, mental health, public health, and/or determinants of health
  • Willingness to prepare for and attend approximately five Board meetings per year and participate in at least one committee
  • Greo is based in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Meetings are typically virtual
