This article is an overview of the effectiveness of strategies to prevent and reduce harms and risks of gambling among adults at the local level. The authors found 16 review articles that covered 20 strategies. They grouped the strategies into four main areas: supply reduction, demand reduction, risk reduction, and harm reduction. The authors also identified the conditions that facilitate the success of these strategies and gaps in research.
