In this article, the authors review the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation’s (OLG) modernization plan. They highlight three contradictions in the OLG’s plan and its approach to responsible gambling. The authors also make suggestions for policymakers, regulators, and the gambling industry to minimize harm in the context of rapid expansion of gambling opportunities.
