This report describes how people used the National Problem Gambling Helpline in the United States in 2025. The report can be used to understand the use of helplines, identify patterns, assess how support and referrals are delivered, and track system-level change over time. The report also features analysis of how sporting events impact helpline contact volume.Findings include:An average of 31,451 calls per month were made to the helpline in 2025.Almost half of people who contacted the helpline were between 18 and 34, a trend that increased over the previous two years.There is increasing racial and ethnic diversity in people who contacted the helpline.Calls related to online and app-based gambling have increased significantly, while calls related to electronic gambling machines had declined.Sports betting has increased as a primary form of problem gambling.American football was most closely linked with a higher number of helpline contacts.The majority of people (73%) seek help for financial problems.
