Until recently, self-exclusion programs at gambling facilities were relatively new in the United States. This presentation examines the results of an evaluation of a self-exclusion program at the Mohegan Sun casino. Discussion of the findings focuses on the demographics of the patrons who self-excluded and the severity of their gambling problem and standards by which the success of self-exclusion programs might be measured. Legal, clinical and public policy issues are addressed.
