This dataset contains payment transactions of people who bet online on casino games and sports. The data was sourced from a U.S. based provider of digital gambling payments systems. The raw dataset contains 7,866 customer transactions (deposits and withdrawals) from between March 1, 2019 and February 29, 2020. Columns in the files include the time a transaction occured, transaction type (deposit/withdrawl), the amount of the transaction, whether the transaction was approved or declined, and an account identifier. Researchers can use these data to study how people's payment behavior relates to their gambling behavior.
