Armed Forces evaluation study selected for funding through the Safer Gambling Information Project

Earlier this year, Greo launched a funding call for the Safer Gambling Information Project. The call was intended to fund an evidence-based pilot project to enhance the accessibility of safer gambling information among military personnel and veterans in Great Britain.

Expert consensus study: Policies and interventions to reduce harmful gambling

A study published August 2022 in The Lancet Public Health outlines 81 measures to reduce harmful gambling in the UK, endorsed by the majority of a group of acadmeic and professional experts on the topic. Measures were rated for their effectiveness, as well as the practicality of implementation. Measures span seven domains, from price and taxation, to treatment and support.

Who gambles and who experiences gambling problems in Canada

Posted Monday, 29 August, 2022

New data from Statistics Canada's 2018 Canadian Community Health Survey, Gambling Rapid Response, found that nearly two-thirds (64%) of Canadians aged 15 or older reported gambling at least once in the past year. Although most people gambled without harm, close to 2% of people who gambled in the past year were at a moderate-to-severe risk of gambling-related problems.

Current Advances in Gambling Research conference wrap-up
