
The Community Investment Program provides funding to support community efforts to prevent and mitigate gambling-related harms in the Kenora and Rainy River region
Funding supports projects that:
A total of $600,000 is available through two funding streams: the Community Stream and the Research Stream, with at least one project funded in each stream.

What is it?
The Community Stream supports community-led projects that strengthen gambling harm prevention, education, treatment, and support services in Kenora and Rainy River. If your organization works with people affected by gambling-related harms or has identified gaps in local prevention, education, or support services, this funding opportunity may be a good fit. Eligibility
Your organization may be eligible if you:
Non-profits, public health organizations, and community-based organizations are all welcome to apply.
Researchers may apply in partnership with an eligible community organization, with funds flowing through that organization. Projects must be community-led, evidence-informed, and focused on underserved or equity-deserving populations.

The Research Stream supports locally driven research that expands knowledge of gambling-related harms and helps inform prevention, education, treatment, and support efforts in Kenora and Rainy River. If you are a researcher with strong connections to the region and are interested in generating evidence that reflects local realities, this funding opportunity may be a good fit.
