For the purpose of a report, an Advisory Committee consists of qualified, knowledgeable members who provide helpful guidance, suggestions, and recommendations on topics relevant to report structure, quality, and delivery.
The Advisory Committee was assembled in June 2020 to support the Prevention and Education Evidence Review conducted by Greo in support of the National Strategy to Reduce Gambling Harms in Great Britain. Members of the Advisory Committee were identified and invited to participate after finalising the project scoping brief, designing the search strategies, and commissioning the authors.
The role of the Committee was to act as an advisory body with a mandate to provide a forum for feedback, guidance, and advice to the Project Team and the authors at key points throughout the course of the project.
The Committee supported the development of the dissemination strategy for the completed review. Members provided guidance on identification of key stakeholders, messaging tools, and outreach strategies to facilitate the uptake of the information by sectors where the information was most relevant.
