From April 2019 to April 2022, Greo partnered with the Gambling Commission of Great Britain to support the National Strategy to Reduce Gambling Harms in Great Britain (the National Strategy). The Gambling Commission published the National Strategy following extensive engagement and input from a wide range of stakeholders with an interest in reducing gambling harms.
The National Strategy aimed to move quickly and enlist a broad range of partners to reduce gambling harms. The two strategic priorities were prevention and education, and treatment and support, which included four important enablers: regulation and oversight, collaboration, evaluation, and research to inform action. Greo, an organisation specialising in knowledge translation and exchange, supported the National Strategy by applying our skills and expertise to support the Research to Inform Action enabler. Greo developed a program of activities to support the strategy’s dissemination of research, applying research to policy, and international collaboration.
This microsite supported the National Strategy's Research to Inform Action efforts by curating knowledge and evidence relevant to the research programme’s themes:
Successful delivery of the National Strategy to Reduce Gambling Harms in Great Britain required collective effort and engagement from a wide range of stakeholders.
